The RACETECH pair of fork guards is designed for GAS GAS EC 125, EC 200, EC 250, EC 300, ECF 450, MC 125, MC 300 and HONDA CR 125, CR 250, CR 500, CRF 250, CRF 450 from 1990 to 2018. The fork guards cover the front of the fork lowers and the inner tubes. They stop the stones that score the tubes: a single scratch on a tube is enough to damage a fork oil seal and make the fork leak.

When to replace it?

Fork guards cracked or broken, mounting points torn out.
Warped plastic rubbing on the inner tube.
Faded colour, or different from the rest of the plastics.

Check the bike's model year: the fork guards follow the shape of the fork lowers and the routing of the front brake hose.

Fitting tips

Remove the old fork guards and keep the screws and the hose clamps.
Clean the fork lowers and check the condition of the inner tubes and of the fork oil seals.
Refit the new ones, putting the brake hose back in its guides, then tighten without forcing.
