PBR steel rear sprocket 42T, 520 pitch for CAN-AM DS 450, DS 450 X 2008-2009

PBR offers this rear sprocket for CAN-AM DS 450, DS 450 X 2008-2009. The rear sprocket receives the engine’s power through the chain and turns the rear wheel. Its number of teeth sets the gearing: with more teeth the bike accelerates harder but has a lower top speed; with fewer teeth it is the other way round.

Why fit a new rear sprocket?

The benefits:

• New teeth that hold the chain properly and make it last.
• The number of teeth is chosen to suit the terrain: more teeth for slow, tight sections, fewer for fast tracks.
• Aluminium or steel: aluminium is lighter, steel lasts much longer; “mud-release” models have cut-outs that clear the dirt.

When should you replace the rear sprocket on your CAN-AM DS 450?

Pointed, hooked or uneven teeth, or a chain that lifts easily off the back of the sprocket: the chain kit needs replacing.
