The protective plate fitted under the engine, shielding it from rocks, tree stumps and ledges.

RIVAL offers this skid plate for CAN-AM COMMANDER 1000, COMMANDER 1000 EFI DPS, COMMANDER 1000 EFI LTD, COMMANDER 800, COMMANDER 800 R EFI XT 2011-2019. The skid plate bolts to the frame, under the engine. In enduro, the underside of the bike often hits rocks, logs and ledges: without protection, the engine case can crack and leak oil.

Why fit a skid plate?

The benefits:

The engine case is protected from rocks and stumps.
The bike slides over logs and ledges instead of getting hung up.
Depending on the model, it also protects the suspension linkage and the bottom of the frame.

Why choose RIVAL?

Rival aluminium guards are laser-cut from 4 to 4.8 mm marine-grade aluminium depending on the model, with deep-stamped stiffening recesses, recessed bolts and AkzoNobel powder coating. Drain holes make cleaning and servicing easier.

When should you replace the skid plate on your CAN-AM COMMANDER 800?

A skid plate that is cracked, badly gouged or with loose mountings no longer protects: replace it.
