DRAPER pliers

DRAPER offers this pliers. Pliers extend your hand: they grip hard and reach places your fingers cannot. Each shape has its job: combination pliers to hold and cut, long-nose pliers for tight spots, circlip pliers for retaining rings, hose clamp pliers for hoses, crimping pliers for electrical terminals.

Why pliers suited to the job?

The benefits:

• Specialist pliers (circlip, clamp, crimping): they do the job cleanly where combination pliers slip or crush.
• Treated steel and serrated jaws: a firm grip without having to squeeze with all your strength.
• Depending on the model, two-material handle covers or increased leverage: less effort and a better grip.

Why choose DRAPER?

Draper is a British family business founded in 1919 by Bert Draper in Kingston upon Thames, based since 1963 in Chandler’s Ford, Hampshire, and run by the family for three generations. Its catalogue lists more than 11,000 hand, power and automotive tools and workshop equipment items.

When should you replace this tool?

Worn or smooth jaws, bent or chipped tips, dull cutting edges, a joint with play: replace the pliers, they slip, cut poorly and damage the part.

Specifications and fitting tips

• Manufacturer part number: 69287

Cross-Mania tip: Do not use pliers to undo a nut: they round off its flats. For a circlip, use pliers with the right tips (internal or external) and open it just enough to lift it out of its groove.
