PROX Air Filter for HUSQVARNA TC 449, TXC 449, TXC 511 2012-2013

On HUSQVARNA TC 449, TXC 449, TXC 511 from 2012 to 2013, the PROX 52.64012 air filter fits in place of the original part. Off-road, the engine breathes air full of dust. The oil-soaked foam filter traps the particles; worn or badly fitted, it lets through dirt that wears out pistons and cylinders.

When to replace it?

• Foam hardened, torn or coming away from its frame.
• Traces of dust behind the filter, in the intake boot.
• Filter that no longer gets its shape back after cleaning.

Clean and oil the filter after every dusty ride, and at least at the intervals given in the manual; replace it as soon as the foam hardens, tears or comes away from the frame. With two filters, you always have a clean one ready to go.

Fitting tips

1. Wash the filter with air filter cleaner, rinse it and let it dry completely.
2. Soak it in air filter oil, then squeeze out the excess without wringing the foam.
3. Lightly grease the sealing rim for a perfect seal.
4. Fit the filter flat on its cage, with no creases, and check that it seals all the way round.
