The PROFILTER BCA-5001-00 oil filter cover is designed for KTM EXCF 250, SXF 250 from 2005 to 2013. The oil filter cover closes off the filter housing on the crankcase of a four-stroke engine. Machined from solid aluminium, it stands up to knocks and repeated removal better than many stock covers.

When to replace it?
- Stock cover cracked or marked after an impact.
- Sealing face or fasteners damaged by repeated removal.
- You want a stronger, better-finished part.
Check the model and model years: the shape and mounting points are specific to each engine. Always fit a new O-ring.
Fitting tips
- With the engine cold, drain the oil and remove the old cover.
- Replace the oil filter and clean the sealing face on the crankcase.
- Fit a new, lightly oiled O-ring on the cover.
- Tighten the bolts in a criss-cross pattern to the torque in the manual, without overdoing it in the aluminium crankcase, then top up the engine oil.

Can I reuse the O-ring?
No: a hardened or crushed O-ring can no longer guarantee a good seal. Fit a new one at every oil change.
