ACOUSTA-FIL Exhaust Heat Wrap 50mm x 7.5m 650°C Brown

ACOUSTA-FIL offers this exhaust heat wrap. The header is the exhaust pipe coming out of the engine: it gets scorching hot within minutes.

Why heat wrap?

The benefits:

• Less risk of burns from touching the header, whether stopped or riding.
• Less heat on the plastics, hoses and cables running near the exhaust.
• A custom or vintage look, with a choice of colours.

Why choose ACOUSTA-FIL?

Acousta-Fil is a brand of Culimeta-Saveguard, the British maker of acoustic and thermal insulation for exhausts (factory in Dukinfield, near Manchester); its Boa version expands with heat to fill the whole silencer and is rated to 720 °C.

When should you replace this part?

A wrap that is frayed, burnt, soaked in oil or mud, or working loose around the pipe: replace it and check the condition of the header while you are at it.
