A very sticky oil used to soak a foam air filter so it traps dust and sand before they reach the engine.
MOTUL offers this air filter oil. Dry foam lets the finest dust through. Soaked in filter oil, it becomes sticky: every grain of dust or sand that gets into it stays caught.
Why a dedicated air filter oil?
The benefits:
- It traps the fine dust that foam alone would let through: the engine is protected from wear.
- It stays in the foam despite vibration, heat and water spray.
- When it is coloured, you can see at a glance whether the whole filter is properly soaked.
When should you replace this part?
Re-oil the filter at every clean, once it is clean and fully dry: the foam must be soaked everywhere, with no dry patch for dust to get through.
