A small tool that clamps onto the end of the outer cable to inject lubricant into your clutch, throttle or brake cables.
MOTION PRO offers this cable luber. A clutch, throttle or brake cable is a steel wire sliding inside an outer sheath. Mud, water and the pressure washer flush out the lubricant: the cable gets stiff, rusts and eventually breaks.
The benefits:
Motion Pro was founded in California in 1984 by Chris Carter, a former Yamaha off-road test rider and ISDT gold medallist; having started out with control cables, the company now holds more than 30 patents.
Use a lubricant designed for cables: thick grease attracts dust and makes the control stiff.
Cross-Mania tip: Tighten the luber so it seals on the outer cable, spray until lubricant comes out at the other end and use a dedicated cable lubricant (on a PTFE-lined cable, follow the cable maker's advice).
Workshop tool: it works on any motorcycle or ATV. Just check the size or dimension stated.
