INNTECK aluminium Gear Shift Lever ref. ASL1040 for KTM, HUSQVARNA and GAS GAS 2017-2027

The INNTECK aluminium ASL1040 gear shift lever is designed for KTM SX 85, SX 125, SX 150, XCW 125, HUSQVARNA TC 85, TC 125, TE 150, TX 125 and GAS GAS MC 85, MC 125 from 2017 to 2027. The shift lever lets you change gear with your foot. Very exposed in crashes and in ruts, it bends or breaks easily: a bent shift lever makes gear changes imprecise and can stop you from changing gear at all.

When to replace it?

• Shift lever bent, tip broken or teeth worn.
• Play on the shaft splines.

Replace it as soon as it's bent or its splines are damaged: a shift lever that slips on the shaft damages the shift shaft too.

Fitting tips

1. Mark the position of the old shift lever on the splines before removing it.
2. Clean the shaft splines and grease the tip pivot.
3. Fit the shift lever at the same height and tighten the bolt to the manufacturer's torque with medium-strength threadlocker.
4. Check that it doesn't touch the crankcase or the footpeg and that every gear goes in.

Frequently asked questions

How do I set the height?
The top of the shift lever should sit just under your boot, with your foot flat on the footpeg: that way you can shift up without lifting your whole foot.
