MOTION PRO Clutch Perch for KAWASAKI KX 250, KXF 250, KXF 450 2005-2020

The MOTION PRO 14-0122 clutch perch is designed for KAWASAKI KX 250, KXF 250, KXF 450 from 2005 to 2020. The clutch lever bracket (the “perch”) clamps onto the handlebar and carries the lever and the cable adjuster wheel. If it breaks in a crash, you can't pull the clutch: it's a part worth carrying as a spare.

When to replace it?

• Perch split or broken after a crash.
• Adjuster wheel seized or snapped off.
• Play in the lever pivot.

Replace it as soon as it's cracked: it can snap clean off the next time you pull the clutch.

Fitting tips

1. Slacken the cable and unhook it from the lever.
2. Remove the old perch and fit the new one in the same position on the handlebar, without overtightening it: it must be able to rotate in a crash.
3. Reconnect the cable, set the free play and grease the pivot with a suitable grease.

Why MOTION PRO?

For its T3 Slidelight cables, Motion Pro measured in-house that a conventional cable housing can wear through to metal-on-metal contact in fewer than 1,200 cycles, whereas its own inner liner lasts 30,000 cycles with minimal wear. With anodised billet aluminium end fittings and a built-in lubricator, the control stays light and smooth over time.
