MOTION PRO T3 Slidelight Clutch Cable for KAWASAKI KXF 450 2006-2008

The MOTION PRO T3 Slidelight 03-3001 clutch cable is designed for KAWASAKI KXF 450 from 2006 to 2008. The clutch cable transmits the effort from the lever to the clutch. Off-road, it gets worked hard: a new cable makes the lever light and the engagement point consistent, and won't let you down in the middle of a ride.

Specifications

• Brand: MOTION PRO
• Manufacturer part number: 03-3001
• T3 Slidelight housing with low-friction liner
• Engine: 4-stroke

When to replace it?

• Lever that gets heavy or snags.
• Frayed strands near the end fitting, damaged outer sheath.
• Engagement point that changes from one ride to the next.

Replace it at the first broken strand: a snapped cable leaves you with no clutch.

Fitting tips

1. Slacken the adjuster and unhook the old cable at both ends.
2. Route the new cable the same way, with no tight bends.
3. Grease the ends with a suitable grease.
4. Set the lever free play as per the manual.

Why MOTION PRO?

For its T3 Slidelight cables, Motion Pro measured in-house that a conventional cable housing can wear through to metal-on-metal contact in fewer than 1,200 cycles, whereas its own inner liner lasts 30,000 cycles with minimal wear. With anodised billet aluminium end fittings and a built-in lubricator, the control stays light and smooth over time.
