The unit that turns the alternator’s current into direct current and controls the voltage so the battery recharges without being damaged.
TOURMAX offers this regulator rectifier for SUZUKI DL 650 V-STROM, DL 650 V-STROM ABS 2007-2012. The regulator rectifier is the link between the alternator and the battery. With the engine running, the alternator (stator and flywheel) produces an alternating current whose voltage rises with the revs.
The benefits:
Tourmax has its parts made in Japan by suppliers to the major Japanese manufacturers, at OEM quality level according to the brand.
A battery that goes flat despite regular riding, bulbs that keep blowing, lights that vary with revs or a connector browned by heat: check the regulator.
Cross-Mania tip: Clean the connectors and the earth point, mount the regulator somewhere with airflow and its fins clear, then measure the voltage at the battery terminals with the engine running to confirm it is charging.
