The LEATT Straight Bite valve replaces the chewed or worn mouthpiece on your hydration bladder so you can drink without leaks again.
Exposed to dust, mud and saliva, the valve is also a weak spot for hygiene. Changing it regularly, or keeping a spare, helps keep your water clean on every ride.
LEATT was born in South Africa from the Leatt-Brace, the neck protection device invented by Dr Christopher Leatt after a fatal racing accident. Since then, the brand has designed protection and gear tested in real-world conditions, with rider safety as its guiding principle.
Check that the shape (straight or angled) and the connector of the valve match your tube. Remove the old valve, then push the new one fully home so it doesn't leak. Position it so you can easily reach it under the chin bar of your helmet.
How can I tell if the valve is worn?
It drips, lets water through without being bitten, or shows splits and tooth marks: time to replace it.
Will it fit my bladder?
Check the connector type and your tube diameter against the valve model listed; a valve from another brand may not fit.
