PROX Lower Shock Bearing Kit for HUSABERG FE 450, FE 550, FE 650, FS 650 2004-2008

On HUSABERG FE 450, FE 550, FE 650, FS 650 from 2004 to 2008, the PROX 26.450056 shock bearing kit fits in place of the original part. The shock is mounted at both ends on bearings or spherical bearings. Seized or worn, they create play and hold the shock back: the rear end becomes harsh and the suspension loses its sensitivity.

When to replace it?

• Play at the rear when you lift the wheel.
• Spherical bearing or bearing that binds, clunking noise at the rear.
• Rusty bearing or marked sleeve at disassembly.

Check these bearings every time you remove the shock and at the same time as the linkage. Check whether it is the upper or the lower mount (given in the name).

Fitting tips

1. Remove the shock as per the manual.
2. Press out the old bearing or spherical bearing and clean the mounting eye.
3. Press in the new bearing, with the seals and sleeves packed with waterproof grease.
4. Refit the shock and tighten the pivot bolts to the manual's torque.
