The cable linking the clutch lever to the engine: it operates the clutch when you pull the lever.
VENHILL offers this clutch cable for HONDA CR 480 1982-1983. The clutch cable is a steel wire that slides inside an outer sheath. When you pull the lever, it operates the mechanism in the engine that separates the clutch plates.
Why replace the clutch cable?
The benefits:
- A lighter lever and a clutch that is easier to control.
- Avoid a breakage mid-ride, which always comes at the worst moment.
- Length and end fittings made for your bike: it fits like the original.
Why choose VENHILL?
Venhill was founded in 1970 in Dorking, England, by trials and motocross rider Chris Ventris; its cables and hoses are made in-house, and every Powerhose line (stainless braid, minimum burst pressure 12,000 psi) is pressure-tested under water before dispatch.
When should you replace the cable on your HONDA CR 480?
Replace it as soon as strands fray near the ends, the sheath is damaged or the lever becomes heavy or sticky.
