ACOUSTA-FIL offers this silencer packing. The silencer is the canister at the end of the exhaust. Inside, a perforated tube is wrapped in heat-resistant packing that absorbs part of the noise.

Why repack your silencer?

The benefits:

• Bring the noise back to a normal level, useful for race sound checks and for the neighbours.
• The packing also shields the silencer casing from the heat of the gases.
• Much cheaper than a new silencer; loose fibre or sheet depending on the product.

When should you replace this part?

A louder or sharper sound, black marks at the silencer outlet: the packing needs redoing.
