HOT RODS offers this bottom end kit. A full rebuild replaces all the engine’s wear parts. This kit groups the parts needed (see contents) so nothing is forgotten and the engine is as good as new.
The benefits:
Hot Rods crankshafts come assembled and trued: double-forged 8620 steel rod and hardened crankpin (58-62 HRC), a ready-to-fit bottom-end rebuild.
Unusual vibration, a deep knock that follows engine speed or play in the con-rod: the bottom end needs a rebuild.
The manufacturer publishes no hour interval for this model: have the con-rod play checked at every piston change. Cross-Mania guideline: rebuild the bottom end every 2 to 3 top-end rebuilds.
Cross-Mania tip: Check the cylinder and piston while the engine is open. On reassembly, follow the crankcase torque settings and make sure the crankshaft turns freely.
Universal part: check the dimensions before ordering.
