      WOSSNER offers this piston ring set for GAS GAS ECF 250, MCF 250, HUSQVARNA FC 250, FE 250 and KTM EXCF 250, SXF 250, XCF 250 2023-2025. Rings are thin steel bands sitting in the piston grooves. They press against the cylinder wall to hold compression and scrape oil.

      Why replace the rings?

      The benefits:

      • Regain compression and power.
      • Reduce oil consumption and smoke.
      • A cheap fix when piston and cylinder are still within spec.

      Wössner has forged its own pistons since 1994: Molykote-coated skirt to reduce friction and ease running-in, kit supplied complete with rings, pin and clips.

      When should you replace the piston rings?

      Harder starting, loss of power, blue smoke, oil consumption or a knock when cold: these are the signs of a tired top end.

      Recommended hours for a top-end rebuild (manufacturer recommendation for the KTM SX-F, Husqvarna FC, GASGAS MC-F since 2023):

      • Racing: every 45 h.
      • Leisure: no KTM figure; Cross-Mania guideline: compression check at around 90 h.
      • KTM EXC-F, Husqvarna FE, GASGAS EC-F since 2024: racing and leisure: every 90 h.
