With the LEATT Moto 7.5 Helmet, LEATT offers a light, well-ventilated off-road helmet in the camo black/white colourway.
The helmet is your most important piece of protection: its shell and foam liner absorb the energy of an impact, the chin bar protects your face, and the vents keep your head cool when you're working hard. It is worn with goggles, and the helmet's eye port is shaped to take the goggle frame.
LEATT was born in South Africa from the Leatt-Brace, the neck protection device invented by Dr Christopher Leatt after a fatal racing accident. Since then, the brand has designed protection and gear tested in real-world conditions, with rider safety as its guiding principle.
Measure your head circumference just above your eyebrows: the helmet should grip evenly with no pressure points and should not turn when you shake your head. Hand-wash the removable liner. A helmet that has taken an impact must be replaced, even with no visible damage. Wear it with motocross goggles and, ideally, a neck brace.
How do I choose my helmet size?
Measure your head circumference 2 cm above your eyebrows and take the matching size; a new helmet feels a little tight, and the foam beds in after a few rides.
Should a helmet be replaced after a crash?
Yes: after an impact, the foam may have been crushed without it showing, and it no longer protects as it did.
