PROX Ignition Cover Gasket for KTM EXCF 250, EXCF 350, SXF 250 2011-2013

On KTM EXCF 250, EXCF 350, SXF 250 from 2011 to 2013, the PROX 19.G96311 ignition cover gasket fits in place of the original part. On the left-hand side of the engine, the ignition cover protects the flywheel and the stator. Its gasket keeps it sealed: a crushed or torn gasket lets oil, water or dust through.

When to replace it?

• Oil seeping around the edge of the ignition cover.
• Water or mud inside the cover after washing.
• Gasket torn or stuck on removal.

Every time the ignition cover comes off: stator check, replacement of an ignition-side crankshaft oil seal or bottom end rebuild.

Fitting tips

1. Clean both gasket faces without scratching them.
2. Fit the gasket dry; a dab of grease can hold it in place during reassembly.
3. Tighten the screws in a criss-cross pattern, without forcing, to the manufacturer's torque.
4. On an engine where the ignition runs in oil, top up the oil level after reassembly.

Can I reuse the old gasket?
No: a paper or fibre gasket tears or stays crushed when removed. If you're opening several covers, a complete engine gasket kit often works out cheaper.
