The small toothed sprocket on the gearbox output shaft: it is what drives the chain.

Choose the number of teeth from the list.

PBR offers this front sprocket for SHERCO SE 50, SER 50, SM 50, SMR 50, SMRS 50, APRILIA MX 50, MX 50 MOTARD, RX 50, RX 50 3 MARCE, SX 50, BETA RRT 50, RRT 50 ENDURO TRACK, RRT 50 ENDURO X-SERIES, RRT 50 MOTARD, RRT 50 MOTARD RACING and RIEJU MRX 50, RR 50, SMX 50, SPIKE 50, TANGO 50 1986-2026. The front sprocket sits on the gearbox output shaft and passes the engine’s power to the chain, which turns the rear sprocket and the rear wheel.

Why replace the front sprocket?

The benefits:

An inexpensive part that protects a new chain and rear sprocket.
Made of steel to withstand much heavier wear than the rear sprocket.
Changing the number of teeth is the simplest, cheapest way to alter the gearing.

When should you replace the front sprocket?

Dished or hooked teeth: replace it straight away, otherwise it will ruin a new chain within hours.

Specifications and fitting tips

Choose the number of teeth from the list: fewer teeth on the front sprocket (or more on the rear) gives more acceleration, the opposite gives a longer gearing.

Cross-Mania tip: Replace the front sprocket together with the chain and rear sprocket, renew the sprocket nut or circlip and check the output shaft seal.
