KYB Complete Fork Free Piston for HONDA CRF 450 and KAWASAKI KXF 450 2013-2014

The KYB KYB-3001008 complete fork free piston is designed for HONDA CRF 450 and KAWASAKI KXF 450 from 2013 to 2014. In closed cartridges, the free piston separates the damping oil from a compensation volume and follows the changes in volume as the fork works. Supplied complete, it replaces a piston that is worn, scored or no longer sealing properly.

When to replace it?

Fitting tips

1. Servicing a cartridge takes method and the right tools: follow the fork manual or leave it to a suspension specialist.
2. Strip the cartridge, clean all the parts and check the condition of the rod (scratches, pitting).
3. Fit the new part, oiled, without twisting it or damaging it on the threads.
4. Reassemble with fresh fork oil and carefully bleed the air out of the cartridge.
