SHOWA Fork Cartridge Rod Seal (Ø12 mm rod) for SUZUKI, HONDA and KAWASAKI 1999-2007

The SHOWA (tige Ø12 mm) SHO-3001000 fork cartridge rod seal is designed for SUZUKI RM 125, RM 250, RMZ 250, RMZ 450, HONDA CR 250, CRF 250, CRF 450 and KAWASAKI KXF 250, KXF 450 from 1999 to 2007. A wear part in the cartridge, the rod seal wears out with the hours. Replacing it when you service the fork brings back consistent damping.

When to replace it?

• Fork damping that changes during a ride.
• Oil getting where it shouldn't, cartridge oil level dropping.
• Seal hardened, marked or distorted when you remove it.

Fitting tips

1. Servicing a cartridge takes method and the right tools: follow the fork manual or leave it to a suspension specialist.
2. Strip the cartridge, clean all the parts and check the condition of the rod (scratches, pitting).
3. Fit the new part, oiled, without twisting it or damaging it on the threads.
4. Reassemble with fresh fork oil and carefully bleed the air out of the cartridge.
