The springs that close the valves on every engine revolution.
PROX offers this valve spring kit exhaust for KTM EXC-F 250, SX-F 250 from 2006 to 2007. The camshaft opens the valves and the springs close them. At high revs the spring must bring the valve back very quickly: if it is tired, the valve can no longer keep up and “floats”.
Why replace the valve springs?
The benefits:
- Safe running at high revs again.
- Essential with a hotter camshaft or steel valves, which are heavier than titanium.
- Quality steel springs keep their strength longer.
Why choose PROX?
ProX, the Dutch engine-parts specialist since 1975, has its parts made in factories that also supply the manufacturers: OEM quality at a more affordable price.
When should you replace the valve springs on your KTM SX-F 250?
Hard hot starting, valve clearance that keeps closing up or a noisy timing chain: the valve train is wearing.
