The clutch’s steel plates that sit between the friction plates to pass the engine’s power to the gearbox.
TECNIUM offers this clutch steel plate kit for HONDA CR 125 1982. The clutch is a stack of plates: friction plates and plain steel plates. When you release the lever, the springs squeeze them together and the engine drives the gearbox.
Why replace the steel plates?
The benefits:
- Get rid of slipping and grabbing.
- Restore a progressive clutch.
- Flat, healthy plates make the friction plates last.
When should you replace the clutch plates on your HONDA CR 125?
Measure the friction plate thickness and the spring free length: below the manufacturer's minimum they must be replaced. Blued or warped steel plates are replaced too.
