      TECNIUM offers this clutch steel plate kit for HM CRE 250, MOTARD 250 and HONDA CR 250 1997-2008. The clutch is a stack of plates: friction plates and plain steel plates. When you release the lever, the springs squeeze them together and the engine drives the gearbox.

      Why replace the steel plates?

      The benefits:

      • Get rid of slipping and grabbing.
      • Restore a progressive clutch.
      • Flat, healthy plates make the friction plates last.

      When should you replace the clutch plates?

      Measure the friction plate thickness and the spring free length: below the manufacturer's minimum they must be replaced. Blued or warped steel plates are replaced too.

      Cross-Mania tip: Soak the friction plates in gearbox oil before fitting, check the basket for notches and replace the springs at the same time.
