The large toothed wheel bolted to the rear wheel: the chain meshes with it to drive the bike forward.

Available in several colours.

SCAR offers this rear sprocket for KTM EXC 125, EXC 250, EXC 300, SX 125, SX 250, HUSQVARNA FC 250, FC 350, FC 450, FE 250, FE 350, GAS GAS EC 300, ECF 350, EX 300, MC 125, MCF 250 and HUSABERG FE 250, FE 350, FE 501, TE 250, TE 300 1993-2027. The rear sprocket receives the engine’s power through the chain and turns the rear wheel. Its number of teeth sets the gearing: with more teeth the bike accelerates harder but has a lower top speed; with fewer teeth it is the other way round.

Why fit a new rear sprocket?

The benefits:

New teeth that hold the chain properly and make it last.
The number of teeth is chosen to suit the terrain: more teeth for slow, tight sections, fewer for fast tracks.
Aluminium or steel: aluminium is lighter, steel lasts much longer; “mud-release” models have cut-outs that clear the dirt.

Why choose SCAR?

SCAR, a French brand from Brittany: plugs and screws machined from solid anodised aluminium, built to last.

When should you replace the rear sprocket?

Pointed, hooked or uneven teeth, or a chain that lifts easily off the back of the sprocket: the chain kit needs replacing.
