The large toothed wheel bolted to the rear wheel: the chain meshes with it to drive the bike forward.

Available in several colours.

PBR offers this rear sprocket for KTM ENDURO 690, EXCF 250, SX 125, SX 250, SXF 250, HUSQVARNA FC 250, FC 350, FC 450, FE 350, TE 300, GAS GAS EC 250, EC 300, ECF 250, ECF 350, ES 700 and HUSABERG FC 450, FC 501, FE 400, FE 501, FE 600 1990-2026. The rear sprocket receives the engine’s power through the chain and turns the rear wheel. Its number of teeth sets the gearing: with more teeth the bike accelerates harder but has a lower top speed; with fewer teeth it is the other way round.

Why fit a new rear sprocket?

The benefits:

New teeth that hold the chain properly and make it last.
The number of teeth is chosen to suit the terrain: more teeth for slow, tight sections, fewer for fast tracks.
Aluminium or steel: aluminium is lighter, steel lasts much longer; “mud-release” models have cut-outs that clear the dirt.

When should you replace the rear sprocket?

Pointed, hooked or uneven teeth, or a chain that lifts easily off the back of the sprocket: the chain kit needs replacing.
