    The connecting rod links the piston to the crankshaft: this kit replaces it with its crank pin and bearing for a bottom-end rebuild.

      WOSSNER offers this connecting rod kit for KTM EXC 125, EXC 150, SX 125, SX 150, BETA RR 125, HUSQVARNA TC 125, TE 150 and GAS GAS MC 125 2016-2025. The rod passes the piston’s motion to the crankshaft. Its big-end bearing spins at very high revs and eventually develops play.

      Why replace the connecting rod?

      The benefits:

      • Remove the play that causes noise and vibration.
      • Make a high-hours engine reliable again.
      • Cheaper than a complete crankshaft when the flywheels are good.

      When should you replace the connecting rod?

      Unusual vibration, a deep knock that follows engine speed or play in the con-rod: the bottom end needs a rebuild.

      Recommended hours for a bottom-end rebuild (manufacturer recommendation for the KTM SX, Husqvarna TC, GASGAS MC two-strokes since 2023):

      • Racing: every 90 h.
      • Leisure: no KTM figure; have the wear checked at every top-end rebuild.
      • KTM SX, Husqvarna TC 125-300 2017-2022: racing: every 40 h.

      Cross-Mania tip: Fitting requires a press and truing the crankshaft with a dial gauge. If you are not equipped, have it done by a workshop.
