ATHENA Engine Bearing for YAMAHA YZF 250, YZF 450 2014-2015

The ATHENA MS220400080DDK engine bearing is designed for YAMAHA YZF 250, YZF 450 from 2014 to 2015. This bearing guides one of the engine's shafts: crankshaft, gearbox shaft or balancer shaft, depending on the model. A worn bearing runs with play or tight spots: it gets noisy, runs hot and ends up damaging the shaft or the crankcase.

When to replace it?

Fitting tips

1. Heat the crankcase (around 100 to 120 °C) to remove the old bearing and fit the new one without force.
2. Only push on the race that is the tight fit: outer race in the crankcase, inner race on the shaft.
3. Check which way round it goes if the bearing has a shielded side.
4. Close up with new gaskets or a complete engine gasket kit.
