MOTUL offers this coolant. On a liquid-cooled engine, a pump circulates the coolant around the cylinder and cylinder head, where it picks up heat, then through the radiator, where the air cools it.
Why change the coolant?
The benefits:
- Fresh coolant carries heat away well: the engine is less likely to overheat in slow, technical sections.
- Its anti-corrosion additives wear out over time: renewing it protects the water pump, radiators and cylinder head.
- Antifreeze in good condition stops the system freezing and the radiator or engine cracking in winter.
