Your starter is out of order or shows signs of weakness (doesn't turn very fast, hangs up every other time,...). Here is the 12V starter proposed by TECNIUM for your KTM 4 stroke SXF and EXC-F 450cc and 505cc. This starter has exactly the same characteristics as the original but much less expensive. It is assembled as the original and is connected as the first mount, so there is no adaptation to do. You will have understood that this starter is a reliable alternative to the original equipment which is often expensive. The starter is very important on your enduro bike because it allows the engine to start. If you have any doubts we advise you to change it quickly. This is often not very complicated. To dismantle a starter you just have to undo the 2 screws or sometimes a collar that holds it to your engine casing, remove the cable + connect and unbolt it. It's as simple as that.
