RACETECH Plastic Kit (5 pieces) for KAWASAKI KX 85, KX 100 1998-2013

The RACETECH plastic kit is designed for KAWASAKI KX 85, KX 100 from 1998 to 2013. A plastic kit replaces in one go the bodywork parts that get damaged most: fenders, front number plate, radiator shrouds and side panels, depending on how many pieces the kit contains. Choosing the colour

All colours have the same shape and the same mounting points: pick the one that matches your bike (OEM colours) or your graphics.

When to replace it?

• Plastics cracked, broken or warped after a crash.
• Faded colours, whitened plastics or heavy scratching.
• Mounting holes enlarged or torn out: the parts rattle and no longer hold.
• You want a different colour, or want to get the bike ready before selling it.

Check the number of pieces and the list of items supplied: depending on the kit, the air box cover, fork guards or headlight mask are included or not. The bike's model year matters: plastics often change shape from one year to the next.

Fitting tips

1. Remove the seat and the fuel tank if necessary, then the old plastics, keeping all the hardware: it goes back on the new kit.
2. Clean the frame, the air box and the mounts before test-fitting the new parts.
3. Tighten without forcing: over-tightening cracks the plastic around the bolts. Replace damaged bolts with new plastics hardware.
4. If you are fitting a graphics kit, do it on clean, degreased plastics at room temperature.

Can the original decals be stuck back on?
They can rarely be reused once peeled off. The shapes of replica plastics follow the originals, so you can fit a graphics kit made for your bike.

Do I need new bolts?
The original hardware can be refitted if it is in good condition. New hardware saves you from forcing on damaged heads.
