Fitting tips
- Clean the threads in the crankcase and cylinder before assembly.
- Lightly oil the threads, unless the manufacturer says otherwise.
- Tighten in a criss-cross pattern, in several stages, to the torque given in the Athena instructions or the workshop manual.
- Reassemble with a new top end gasket kit.
