      ALL BALLS offers this engine oil seal kit for YAMAHA DT 250, DT 400, IT 250, YZ 250, YZ 490 1974-1993. An oil seal (lip seal) is a rubber ring that seals around a rotating shaft. They are found on the crankshaft, gear shifter, water pump and output shaft.

      Why replace the oil seals?

      • On a 2-stroke, keep the crankcase sealed, which the engine needs to run properly.

      When should you replace the oil seals on your YAMAHA YZ 250?

      Seepage around the shaft, a dropping oil level or, on a two-stroke, an idle that creeps up on its own are warning signs. The seal is also replaced every time the cases are split.
