ATHENA Engine Oil Seal Kit for KTM EGS 125, EXC 125, GS 125, MX 125, SX 125 1987-1997

ATHENA offers this engine oil seal kit for KTM EGS 125, EXC 125, GS 125, MX 125, SX 125 1987-1997. An oil seal (lip seal) is a rubber ring that seals around a rotating shaft. They are found on the crankshaft, gear shifter, water pump and output shaft.

Why replace the oil seals?

The benefits:

• Stop oil leaks around the shafts.
• On a 2-stroke, keep the crankcase sealed, which the engine needs to run properly.
• All the engine’s oil seals in one part number for a rebuild.

Why choose ATHENA?

Athena, founded in 1973 by Giovanni Mancassola near Vicenza and based in Alonte (Italy), designs gaskets, pistons and cylinder kits; it supplies original equipment to manufacturers such as KTM, Ducati, Fantic and Triumph.

When should you replace the oil seals on your KTM GS 125?

Seepage around the shaft, a dropping oil level or, on a two-stroke, an idle that creeps up on its own are warning signs. The seal is also replaced every time the cases are split.
