PROX Engine Oil Seal Kit for GAS GAS MC 50, HUSQVARNA TC 50 and KTM SX 50 2024-2026

On KTM SX 50, HUSQVARNA TC 50 and GAS GAS MC 50 from 2024 to 2026, the PROX 42.6024 engine oil seal kit fits in place of the original part. Every shaft that passes through the crankcase runs in an oil seal. Over time the lip hardens and oil escapes; on a two-stroke, a leak on the crankshaft side upsets the carburation.

When to replace it?

• Oil around the countershaft sprocket, the gear shift shaft or the kick-start.
• On a two-stroke: unstable idle, hanging revs or a drop in the gearbox oil level.
• Lip hardened or split, or shaft marked where the seal runs.

Every time the crankcases are split, and as soon as a leak appears.

Fitting tips

1. Drive out the old seal without scratching its housing.
2. Lightly grease the lip and the housing.
3. Press the seal in perfectly square with a tube or socket of the same diameter, lip facing the oil side.
4. Protect the lip from the splines or keyways as you slide the shaft through (adhesive tape).
