HOT RODS offers this countershaft seal kit for KTM EXC 125, EXC 200, SX 125, SX 150, XC 150, XC-W 200 from 2001 to 2014. The front sprocket drives the chain. Its shaft passes through the case and an oil seal (often with a bush) keeps the oil in.

Seepage around the shaft, a dropping oil level or, on a two-stroke, an idle that creeps up on its own are warning signs. The seal is also replaced every time the cases are split.
