TOURMAX offers these clutch springs for YAMAHA YFM 400 BIG BEAR PRO 2WD, YFM 400 KODIAK 2WD, YFM 400 KODIAK 4WD and HONDA ATC 250, TRX 250 R FOURTRAX 2WD, XR 400 1985-2005. The springs push on the pressure plate to clamp the plates together. With heat they lose strength and the clutch starts to slip.

When should you replace the clutch springs?
Measure the friction plate thickness and the spring free length: below the manufacturer's minimum they must be replaced. Blued or warped steel plates are replaced too.

Cross-Mania tip: Soak the friction plates in gearbox oil before fitting, check the basket for notches and replace the springs at the same time.
