The springs that clamp the clutch plates so power gets through without slipping.
BARNETT offers these clutch springs for YAMAHA YZ 360 1974-1975. The springs push on the pressure plate to clamp the plates together. With heat they lose strength and the clutch starts to slip.
Why replace the clutch springs?
The benefits:
- Stop slipping, especially under acceleration.
- Get a positive clutch back.
- Heavy-duty springs exist for tuned engines (slightly heavier lever).
Why choose BARNETT?
Barnett, an American manufacturer since 1948: clutch springs about 10-15 % stiffer than stock, shot-peened and heat-treated, for a clutch that no longer slips.
When should you replace the clutch springs on your YAMAHA YZ 360?
Measure the friction plate thickness and the spring free length: below the manufacturer's minimum they must be replaced. Blued or warped steel plates are replaced too.
