HINSON offers these clutch springs for SUZUKI DR-Z 400 S, DR-Z 400 SM, DRZ 400, LTZ 400 and KAWASAKI KFX 400, KLX 400 2000-2017. The springs push on the pressure plate to clamp the plates together. With heat they lose strength and the clutch starts to slip.

When should you replace the clutch springs?

Measure the friction plate thickness and the spring free length: below the manufacturer's minimum they must be replaced. Blued or warped steel plates are replaced too.
