The gasket that seals the clutch cover: replace it every time the cover comes off to avoid oil leaks.
ATHENA offers this clutch cover gasket for YAMAHA IT 250, IT 490, YZ 490 1981-1989. The clutch cover closes the right-hand side of the engine, where the clutch and often the oil or water pump sit.
Why replace this gasket every time it is removed?
The benefits:
- A new gasket guarantees a perfectly sealed joint.
- Material designed to withstand heat, oil and coolant.
- An inexpensive part that saves doing the job twice.
Why choose ATHENA?
Athena, original-equipment supplier to KTM and Ducati from Italy, laser-cuts its gaskets from materials designed for heat, oil and coolant.
When should you replace the gasket on your YAMAHA YZ 490?
Oil seeping around the cover or a leak after reassembly show it needs replacing: a crushed gasket never seals properly again.
