TECNIUM offers this clutch steel plate kit. The clutch is a stack of plates: friction plates and plain steel plates. When you release the lever, the springs squeeze them together and the engine drives the gearbox.
Why replace the steel plates?
The benefits:
- Get rid of slipping and grabbing.
- Restore a progressive clutch.
- Flat, healthy plates make the friction plates last.
When should you replace the clutch plates?
Measure the friction plate thickness and the spring free length: below the manufacturer's minimum they must be replaced. Blued or warped steel plates are replaced too.
