PROX Complete Clutch Plate Kit for HONDA CR 250 1997-2007

The PROX 16.CPS13097 complete clutch plate kit is designed for HONDA CR 250 from 1997 to 2007. This kit brings together the friction plates and the steel plates of the clutch: everything you need to redo the whole plate pack in one go, for a clutch that holds the torque and disengages cleanly again.

When to replace it?

• Slipping in the higher gears, burning smell.
• Clutch that drags or judders, neutral hard to find.
• Friction plates below the minimum thickness, steel plates blued or warped.

As soon as the friction plates reach the minimum thickness given in the manual or the clutch starts to slip.

Fitting tips

1. Soak the friction plates in gearbox oil before fitting them.
2. Check the basket and the inner hub: deep notches stop the clutch from working properly.
3. Reassemble in the original order and tighten the spring bolts in a criss-cross pattern to the manufacturer's torque.
4. Close up with a new clutch cover gasket.
