The basket is the clutch’s outer housing, driven by the engine, into which the friction plates slot.
REKLUSE offers this clutch basket for KAWASAKI KXF 450 2021-2026. The friction plates slot into the basket fingers. Over time they wear notches into them: the plates catch and the clutch becomes jerky.
Why replace the basket?
The benefits:
- Get rid of jerks and a clutch that catches.
- Restore a light, precise lever.
- Heavy-duty baskets resist wear better.
Why choose REKLUSE?
Rekluse TorqDrive fits more steel-core discs in the same case: about 25 % more transmittable torque and almost no slip when hot, according to the brand.
When should you replace the clutch basket on your KAWASAKI KXF 450?
Notches worn into the basket or hub stop the plates from sliding: the clutch becomes heavy, vague and slips. Check them at every plate change.
