PROX Clutch Basket Cushion Kit for KAWASAKI KXF 250, RMZ 250 2006-2019

On KAWASAKI KXF 250, RMZ 250 from 2006 to 2019, the PROX 17.9-4336 clutch basket cushion kit fits in place of the original part. Between the primary drive gear and the clutch basket, rubber cushions absorb the shocks in the transmission. Once worn, they allow play: a clattering noise at idle and jerky drive.

When to replace it?

• Clattering from the clutch side at idle that disappears when you pull in the clutch.
• Rotational play between the primary drive gear and the basket.
• Rubbers hardened, split or flattened.

As soon as play appears between the gear and the basket, and whenever you rebuild the clutch.

Fitting tips

1. Depending on the basket, the rivets have to be ground off and then replaced: follow the instructions or have a workshop do the job.
2. Replace all the cushions together.
3. Check the basket slots: if they're notched, a new basket is the better choice.
