PROX X-Ring rivet type Chain Master Link

The PROX 07.RC520XRL chain master link is a universal part. The master link closes the chain. It's the part to keep in your bag: it lets you repair a chain or fit a new one without a special tool (clip-type), or permanently (rivet-type).

Good to know

Always use a master link with the same pitch and from the same series as the chain (same width, same seals). A master link goes on new: never reuse a clip that has already been taken off.

Fitting tips

1. Check that the master link pitch matches that of the chain.
2. On a sealed chain, place the supplied O-rings or X-rings on each side.
3. Clip-type link: fit the clip with its open end facing away from the chain's direction of rotation. Rivet-type link: rivet it with a suitable tool, without crushing the seals.
4. Spin the wheel and check that the link isn't stiff.
