Good to know

Always use a master link with the same pitch and from the same series as the chain (same width, same seals). A master link goes on new: never reuse a clip that has already been taken off.

Fitting tips

1. Check that the master link pitch matches that of the chain.
2. On a sealed chain, place the supplied O-rings or X-rings on each side.
3. Clip-type link: fit the clip with its open end facing away from the chain's direction of rotation. Rivet-type link: rivet it with a suitable tool, without crushing the seals.
4. Spin the wheel and check that the link isn't stiff.

Why D.I.D?

Its patented X-Ring technology replaces the round O-ring with an X-shaped seal, which D.I.D claims is 40% more wear-resistant than a conventional O-ring, with less friction. To close the chain, you can choose between the clip-type master link (RJ), the semi-press-fit clip-type link (FJ) and the rivet-type link (ZJ).
