The electronic unit that controls the ignition: it decides when the spark plug fires.
TECNIUM offers this CDI unit for YAMAHA YFM 350 WARRIOR 2WD 2002-2004. The CDI unit is the brain of the ignition. On every revolution, a pickup next to the flywheel tells it where the engine is.
Why replace the CDI unit?
The benefits:
- A strong spark again, and an engine that starts, runs smoothly and revs out.
- An OEM-type unit that plugs into the original connector, with no change to the wiring.
- A new unit removes a common cause of hard-to-find electrical faults (misfires, cut-outs when hot).
When should you replace this part?
No spark although the plug, coil and stator are fine, misfires or cut-outs when hot, or an engine that will no longer rev out: the CDI unit needs replacing.
